Advok8 … Marketing as a Service

Many years ago, someone said to me that they did not understand how I knew so much. My thought was, that is not true. I always feel like I know too little. In fact, the most crucial characteristic of any leader is humility and thirst. Thirst for knowledge.
My thirst for knowledge has always left me wanting. Not the smartest person in the room. Not the most informed. Not the brightest technologist. My quest in marketing is to expose those that are all of these things.
So if someone asked me why Advok8? I think I would have to point to many things. I bring the experiences of many, many successes … and many more failures to the table. In fact, I would think that I have learned more from the failures than I ever did from the successes. Here are a number of marketing pearls of wisdom that guide me:

  • Go big or go home: I learned from some of the best that promotion that stretches the boundary is so important. In today’s oversaturated, information overload … only the brightest lights will be seen.
  • Web sites are yesterday’s news: A web site is like a photograph. A media site is like a video. Evolution towards the latter is so important. I spend soooooooooooo much time trying to convince Presidents and CEOs that they need to move towards dynamic media.
  • Product’s are only as good as your worst customer: The problem with product promotion is in the testimonial. Companies and sales executives are so resistant to publishing the “good news” about their best customers. The exciting thing is that there is NOOOOO limitation to the worst customer spewing crap online or in reviews.

Advok8 has one simple rule. Break the boundaries. I think that this is no more real than looking at Stuart Day, my son, as the creative force behind Advok8. Growing up, I thought he was a martian. He had such a different perspective. This is someone who has such diverse knowledge and such a wide palette that it is hard to see him as one person. But in promotion, I have never seen someone so creative. That is Advok8.

I hope our clients or potential clients let us stretch our legs. Whether it is in strategy, product design, or promotion … we can stretch your boundaries to the point of our clients being viewed as great. What else can you ask for?
